This week I have been at Liberty in London taking part in their ‘Get Creative’ event. Here are some pictures of the lovely girls and ladies who came along and made a pin cushion and lavender bag! We had a lovely time sewing and chatting in the shop floor. Check out the Liberty website for mor information about the events in store for the forthcoming week.

We are just sitting here enjoying a glass of wine in our pj’s after a busy day setting up our stand at at the stunning Alexandra Palace in north London.
We are so excited about sharing our inspiration craft books, fun kits and beautiful items with you and look forward to meeting you all. A lot of hard work, Dropbox folders and frantic e-mails have resulted in a really fun (and rather crazy) looking stand! We hope you love it as much as we have enjoyed working on it.
We arrived at Ally Pally at about 2pm and after 20 mins of driving around trying to find a parking permit and parking space finally began unpacking… This was the rather grey and sad stand that initially greeted us,,,
But we quickly got to work covering the grey with patchwork wallpaper strips. Charley wasn’t too keen on the black floral!
A lot of time was agonising over birdcage placement, deciding how many kits to put out and pegging samples onto the various displays! We embraced the crazy and just went for it!
We were really happy with how it looks! What do you think?
Charley loves the bright frames around the birdcages, they really set off the stand.
And I (Lucy) just love our fabulous photo booth area! We have used Michelle’s fabulous photo booth props from our new book and some fun paper honeycombs to create the best photo booth at the show! Come and meet us, get your picture taken and then stick it on the specially designed postcards we have created! We definitely had fun trying it out!

What a brilliant day we had yesterday at the festival of thrift! It was fantastic – there was so much going on- swap shops, workshops, pop up restaurants, thrifty stalls and so much more. We had lots of people visit us in the beautiful bell tent decorated with all the pretty projects from our new book Handmade Glamping!

I’d like to introduce myself – I’m Charlotte, I’m 30 and I love textiles! I live in little village called Croft which is on the border of North Yorkshire and County Durham with my hubby,Doggy Alfie and my baby boy Syd. I form one third of Dotty Does along with two of my bff’s Michelle and Lucy .
